About
A 4-inch f/7 air-spaced apochromatic triplet refractor with an Ohara FPL-53 centre element, hand-figured and rated at 0.97 Strehl or better as measured on Stellarvue's Zygo interferometer. This version carries the optics of the former carbon-fibre Raptor in a black anodised aluminium tube and dew shield that is about as light but more durable and quicker to cool. It comes standard with a Stellarvue 3-inch dual-speed rotating rack-and-pinion focuser, and unthreading the focuser brings it down to airline carry-on size.
