A focal reducer giving roughly 0.75x, so an f/6 StarFire refractor works at about f/4.5 with a correspondingly wider field. It threads directly into the drawtube to sit forward in the optical system, and serves photographic, CCD and visual use, though Astro-Physics recommends its dedicated prime focus flatteners for the best corner stars.
